GuSt
Reykjavik design
GuSt is the creation of Icelandic fashion designer Guðrún Kristín Sveinbjörnsdóttir.
Her designs have been sold in various shops in Reykjavík since 1997.
The first GuSt shop opened in Reykjavík in 2003 and is now located in Bankastræti 11,
in the heart of Reykjavik main shopping area.
Every woman has a favorite garment, one which is always in use, and treasured year after year.
One of the key philosophies behind the design of the GuSt collection is based on this fact.
GuSt designs are classic and timeless, modern and unusual, or all this in one garment. The designer always gives her garments a unique detail to make them one of a kind.
One of the GuSt characteristics is that you can change or alter your garment and therefore
wear it in different ways. It usually has details that can be removed or changed so the item can
be worn with a different look. Black and various grays are the key colors in her designs
and she always designs a line for the whole year. GuSt has a seasonal collection as well, where there is more use of colours and texture . The wool line from GuSt is very popular, it includes sweaters, jackets and coats, accessories like scarfs, hats and mittens. All her woolen products are made from Icelandic wool and are manufactured in Iceland. GuSt design is ment to last, so only the best fabrics available are used and special care is taken in the production itself.
For years GuSt has been designing clothes for women that appreciate quality and uniqueness.
